We pride ourselves in the diversity of the

programs, projects and events in San Diego County that we participate in.

We are always looking in the San Diego County community for new projects to start, programs to support and events to raise funds for

Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway

Annually we support and host a Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway.  This drive is to make sure families in need in San Diego County have a meal for Thanksgiving.  Over the last 12 years this event has grown from our first year delivering 5 dinners to last year providing to over 150 families. Over the years we have fed 1000s of families for this effort. This year we are aiming to increase those efforts.

In this effort we partner with the Christian Life Center of San Diego (CLCSD), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - San Diego Alumnae Chapter (SDAC), and Restore, Uplift & Hope (RUH) San Diego, Inc., and the men of The Phi Omicron Chapter. an unincorporated entity of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity located in San Diego, CA.

We are looking to raise $6000.00 this year to fund this program. This will allow us to support 200 families.

Dr. John Arrington Mentorship Program

The Dr. JAM Program was started in 2007 to address concerns our community had with the youth. The chapter set out to develop a program that would help address those concerns. The program is named after Dr. J. Arrington a member of the Phi Omicron Chapter. an unincorporated entity of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity  who has been a leader in the community in the areas of education and religion.

The Dr. JAM Program has two major components that are used in conjunction with each other. The first is the monthly educational component. Each month the group gets together and has a session that deals with one of the core principles of the group.

  • Character Development

  • Academic Success

  • Cultural Awareness

  • Social Service

The second component is the 1-on-1 mentoring.  This component allows the young men to form a bond and learn from a mentor in a profession that interests them.  Over the years, the program has had professionals in the following fields:

-  Engineering

-  Education

-  Religion,

-  Legal

-  Law Enforcement

-  Sports

The tournament is comprised of 2 divisions (High School and Middle School) and each team is made up of between 4 – 6 students. The study material is given out prior to the competition.

The winners are given awards and a donation will be given to the group they represent.
