Portrayals Of Black History:

A Youth Performance Contest

Tune in to Facebook Live, and see local youth portray people from black history.

Students from 2 divisions will read letters, deliver speeches, re-enact events and more!

All Competing to win cash prizes!

RULES OF THE CONTEST

  1. Create a video portraying a famous person from black history.

  2. Video must be between 3-5 Minutes and is due no later than 2/20/21.

  3. Only appropriate content. (No profanity, explicit themes etc.)

  4. Points will be awarded for originality, content, delivery and presentation.

  5. There are two student divisions: Grades 6-8 (Middle School Division) & Grades 9-12 (High School Division).

  6. Only the student is allowed in the video.

What you need to do

  1. Complete the registration.

  2. Fill out the questionnaire and return to:  ruhsandiego@gmail.com by February 13th 2021

  3. Choose a figure from black history.

  4. Create a 3-5 minute video (using costume and props)

  5. Send video to: ruhsandiego@gmail.com by February 20th 2021

  6. Tune In to the event on Facebook. February 27th 2021 at 3pm (PST)  Sit back and watch yourself.
