Bobby F. Wilson Grant Awards funds to San Diego Student Destiny Patrick

Restore, Uplift and Hope San Diego choose Ms. Destiny Patrick as one of our recipients of the Bobby F. Wilson Memorial Student Grant . Destiny, is a graduate of Steele Canyon High School and she will be attending Grambling State University in the fall.

She was chosen for her dedication to scholarship and commitment to her community through service.

FULL APPLICATION BIO

Destiny has been consistently recognized by the San Diego Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. programs for academic achievement during the 6 years she participated in both programs. Destiny served as the President of Delta Academy and Seargant-of-Arms for Delta G.E.M.S. She has completed over 1000 hours of community service via both programs and her participation with the F.A.N.C.Y. girls mentorship/leadership program. She served as an Ambassador for that program and was awarded for her creative ability at its annual F.A.N.C.Y. awards previously. She also co-established a F.A.N.C.Y. club at her high school, Steele Canyon High School. She also participated with Leading Ladies, which is a Christ-focused community girls mentorship/leadership. Destiny also has a passion for cheer and dance. She was an American Youth Football & Cheer Association cheerleader through the Skyline Tigers organization for 6 years and Steele Canyon cheerleader for 2 years. She participated in Steele Canyon's dance program as well as the Pink Polish and Something Creative dance groups for 2 years. Destiny also is grounded in her faith and relationship with God and has been a member of New Seasons Church since birth, where she was an active participant in the children's and youth ministries, youth choir, youth praise team and youth step team. Destiny will continue to enhance her skillset and her education at Grambling State University this fall, where she will major in Visual & Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance and a minor in Business Administration.


 

THE BOBBY F. WILSON MEMORIAL STUDENT GRANT



In Honor of San Diego Educator and Restore, Uplift & Hope founding board member Mr. Bobby F. Wilson.

We will award up to $1000 in funding to selected participants who meet the requirements.
